St Mary's Parish Records

Although the parish retains its most recent records of baptisms, marriages and funerals, information dating back more than 30 years is held at the County Record Office, County Hall, Durham DH1 5UL. Registers on microfilm and other records may be consulted by appointment, a fee might be payable.

Non –current Durham Diocesan records (chiefly those emanating from the Diocesan Registry) are in the care of the Archives and Special Collections department of Durham University and are housed at the Palace Green Library, Durham.
