Tuesdays 1pm to 3pm during term time in St. Mary's Parish Hall, Newgate

Smuffies (St. Mary’s Under Fives) is a parent and toddler group offering a high quality playing and learning environment.

We have a regular attendance of 20 carers and 25+ children and we welcome anyone caring for under-age children whether a parent, grandparent, childminder or expectant mum.

We provide a full range of activities, toys and equipment for new-borns, toddlers and four year olds about to start school. A regular feature each week is a craft activity.

We offer playdough, crayoning, puzzles and dressing-up, a book and home corner and space to push dolls’ prams and ride trikes and rockers.

Near the end of the afternoon a candle is lit and the children enjoy favourite singing games before finishing with a prayer.
