![]() Meets first Monday of each month at 1.30pm in St Mary’s Church. Contact: The Mothers' Union The Mothers’ Union is a body concerned with all aspects of society’s needs both at home and overseas. It was founded in 1876 by Mary Sumner, wife of the Vicar of Old Alresford, Hampshire. Holidays/days out are provided for those I need of a break but who could otherwise not afford it. The monthly meeting starts with a service in church followed by a business meeting and a speaker. We join with other branches in the Deanery for a Service and tea on Lady Day, a garden party each August and a Christmas party. We also have our own annual outing and Christmas party. |
