The Organ In Action!
Organ events and recitals 2018
St. Mary's Barnard Castle
Music at St. Mary's
There has been a SATB robed choir at St. Mary's for many years. Today we still maintain a regular Sunday choir. In addition we have a well supported community choir and band.
We are delighted to welcome our visiting musicians this year, and we look forward to sharing our organ and resources for future events.
All our events are free, but donations are gratefully received and will go directly towards the musical life of this church.
Installed in 2007 by Copeman Hart, the organ is a superb example of its kind. Three manuals, 57 speaking stops and custom designed speaker housing makes for an instrument that looks good and can sound great!
