Leading Church into Growth, charities for next year.
The PCC welcomed Mr Christopher Cotton who had prepared the Quinquennial Report. He proceeded to present the report to the PCC. The church is generally in good condition but Chris identified a number of areas that need to be kept an eye on. Some are maintenance issues for the PCC to consider, but some are larger projects which Chris will be able to help lead. He suggested grouping the works into projects and Chris would be able to provide specifications for faculty and tendering. The PCC agreed that Mr Cotton be commissioned to prepare such projects for further consideration. The wardens are to consider the issues and will review and report back to the PCC. The PCC thanked Chris for the presentation and the work undertaken in the preparation of the report.
After a couple of minor amendments, these were approved and signed.
(i) Lighting – all but one of the lights are now working. Envirolux will be asked if they can leave a spare which could be used to replace the faulty light if after Mode Control have re-programmed the light it still does not work.
(ii) Bell Chamber Repairs – repairs not needed.
Electrics/Heating – Mark Winter met with Ann, Alec and Astley. He has been aasked to schedule the work after the village Harvest weekend.
Meeting to be held on Monday 13th October 2014.
George Stastny confirmed that the PCC would inherit the panels and income if there were changes to the lease in the future. Paul Stringer confirmed that we would not need to clear the installation with the Diocese. The PCC agreed that it had no objections to the Village Hall Association carrying out this work if it saw fit: Alec would communicate this decision to the Chair.
After some discussion this issue will be considered at a later date.
