When I come
into this lovely church
To visit at the closing of the day.
I feel the peace of God which fills this place;
The wonderful fulfilment of His grace.
For in those years gone by those folk of yore,
Who came to praise and worship and to pray,
Left in this place their love for all the poor;
The needy people pausing in their search.
And we will do the same so they will find
That God instils tranquillity of mind.
John, congregation member. October 2014
"What does this church mean to me, a mid 80's year old pensioner? Although brought up as a Methodist, on marriage I joined my late husband as a regular worshiper at St Mary's. Over the years I have enjoyed wonderful fellowship with others in this ancient building - which has recently been brought very much into the 21st century". Sylvia, congregation member. October 2014
"Beautiful church and very welcoming". Visitor from Poulton-le-Fylde. June 2015
"Beautiful. Lovely to see a church open. Glorious east window". Visitor from Harrogate. June 2015
