Concert – Colours of Summer

Friday 8th July 6.30pm
St Mary's Barnard Castle
Two local community choirs,  noaddedsugar! and The Community Choir at St Mary’s team up to bring you a joyful programme of music for a summer evening.  With beautiful music by John Rutter as well as some summer classics, you will leave with a song in your heart!

noaddedsugar! is a lively community choir based in Gainford and directed by Jane Ford. The choir was established in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength over the years with regular performances across the region. We sing music from many different genres, including classical, pop, folk, musical theatre, sacred and even a bit of opera now and then! Most important for us is our love for what we do and that comes across every time we give a concert. We meet in Gainford Village Hall on Tuesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:00 (£4 per session) if you’d like to come and sing with us!

St Mary’s Community Choir enjoy meeting together for Friday afternoon rehearsals from 5pm-6pm at St Mary’s Parish Church. Led by Annette Butters and assisted by members of the choir we are a friendly, welcoming group who are willing to have a go at most things from musical theatre to classical. Our rehearsal time is short so we have to get on with it (!) but we do have fun as well and tea and coffee are on the go from 4.30pm. All levels of singers are welcome to give it a go, music readers and non-music readers alike.

Doors and bar open at 6.30pm – Concert 7.00pm

Free entry, donations welcome
