Folk Taster Workshop

Saturday 2nd July 11.30am-2.15pm
St Mary's Barnard Castle
Join M@HoT Project Coordinator Rupert Philbrick & youth folk band Cream Tees for an introductory session into the world of folk music.

Aimed at those with little or no experience of playing folk music; instrumentalists of any age or standard are welcome to join in. The session will focus on learning & playing music by ear (that’s right, no music to read!) and will end with an informal performance. This event is open to anyone in the area but as part of the aims of the Community Music festival we also would like to encourage more classically trained players of all ages to give it a go and dip their toe(s) into the waters! Prior to this event is a 10am Community Orchestra rehearsal with the option to join in.

Free entry, donations welcome
